Rock Ridge Apple Orchard with the Family
The leaves have just started to change here in Wisconsin. I truly love this time of year. It’s as if the whole countryside turns into one giant watercolor painting. Reds, oranges, and yellows blur together, lining the roads and up the hillsides.
As I mentioned before in my fall goals post, I missed the best part of fall last year. So this year, I’m determined to make up for it. One of the things on my list was to go apple picking. To me, apple picking is the epitome of fall. So I gathered up my family members, grabbed my basket, and headed out to the orchard.
There are acres and acres of apple trees on the farm. Honeycrisp, McIntosh, and Cortland were the three main ones they had available. After learning about the different types of apples from the staff, I ended up buying a bag full of Cortland. Now I can make either an apple pie or an apple crisp 🙂 That blog post should be out next week!
I’ve been trying to find a pair of sportier-looking shoes that can go with a dress. I wanted ones that were comfy yet stylish. I also didn’t want to look like I just left the gym. As soon as I saw these Keds shoes I knew they were just the ones! I feel like I can pair these with pretty much anything especially since they’re white.
Earlier this summer, I was in a local thrift shop and found this nice basket for only $5! I thought it looked like the perfect apple basket so I’ve been holding onto it ever since 🙂
We had such a wonderful time at Rock Ridge and I’d definitely return again. Such a great and festive fall afternoon!
