Raven Trail
Last week, my mom and I had a girls day in Minocqua. We did some antiquing, went out to lunch, and just spent some quality time together. It ended being a gorgeous and sunny day so around mid-afternoon we laced up our hiking boots and went for a fall hike on the Raven Trail.
This spot is only 10 minutes from Minocqua and quite popular! We were both surprised at how many cars were in the parking lot for a Thursday afternoon. However, since there are a number of different trails, we hardly saw anyone throughout the whole hike!
We decided to go on the yellow nature trail which is the shortest loop at 1.5 miles. The beginning and end of the trail were filled with bright yellowy-orange leafy trees whereas the middle of the trail brought us through tall, dark pines. At around the half-way point, we passed by Hemlock Lake.
Both of us really enjoyed this hike and I’d definitely go back again in the fall. Raven Trail also allows cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and bicycling.
Note: A Wisconsin State Trail Pass is required for cross-country skiing and biking.
