Spring is in the air which means it’s time to start thinking about our garden! Two seasons ago, we built a 4 x 10 raised bed in our backyard and this year, we’ll be building a second one to accommodate more vegetables and herbs! Here’s what we’re planning on growing this year:

Instead of just winging it, this year I’ve been using the Kitchen Garden Planner in order to properly space out the vegetables within our raised beds. It’s a really helpful tool and has an easy drag-and-drop feature. This planner is really nice if you want to do “companion planting” which is a gardening technique that I’ll be trying this season!

I’ve started a few seeds indoors so that I’ll be able to transplant them in the spring. The ones I’ve started indoors are: tomatoes (Roma, Beefsteak, Early Treat), jalapenos, bell peppers, and zinnias.
