A Central Wisconsin Strawberry Farm That You’ll Fall In Love With
Last year, I missed strawberry picking season by one day… So this year, I made sure to put it on the calendar! We ended up going to Arnold’s Strawberries; a central Wisconsin strawberry farm about 40 minutes south of Wausau.
It’s a beautiful family-owned farm with spawling strawberry patches and a big red barn at the edge of the property. The farm has been owned by the same family for over 100 years and the whole place has such a nice vibe to it. When we arrived yesterday afternoon, we were each handed a white ice cream pail and directed to our own individual strawberry rows.
We spent about 40 minutes picking strawberries, filling our pails to the brim with the best and brightest looking ones we could find. Every now and then I’d look up from my row, marveling at the gently rolling farmland that surrounded us. It was the perfect setting to pick strawberries!
Once we had filled our pails, we headed back to the entrance. At Arnold’s, instead of paying by the pound, they simply charge by the pail which is a flat fee of $11.
